Reading for Print and Time Based Media
The series called ‘Documents of Contemporary Art’ produced by the Whitechapel/MIT press serve as great introduction and inspiration to many areas of our field. Look at the range of the series here:

They should all be in the Wimbledon Library.
But here are 3 of obvious relevance:
Moving Image, edited by Omar Kholeif, from the series ‘Documents of Contemporary Art’ Whitechapel/ MIT Press, 2015. An examination of the expanded field of moving image-based art that has emerged alongside digital media.

Documentary, edited by Julian Stallabrass, from the series ‘Documents of Contemporary Art’ Whitechapel/ MIT Press, 2015. The revival of documentary in art, considered in historical, theoretical, and contemporary contexts.

Sound, edited by Caleb Kelley, , from the series ‘Documents of Contemporary Art’ Whitechapel/ MIT Press, 2011. A definitive guide to the rising status of sound in art, through original critical writings and artists’ statements.
